The kids and I love peanut butter cookies! It’s one of our favorites! So when I could put a sourdough twist on it I was super excited!!! These are so soft and yummy, they won’t disappoint!

Recipe:
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup discard
- 1/2 cup peanut butter
- 1/2 cup butter at room temp
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup flour
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 egg
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/3 cup sugar for rolling
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and line 2 cookie sheets with parchment or silicone baking mat
- whisk starter, peanut butter, butter, brown sugar, eggs and vanilla together
- In medium bowl whisk flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt
- add dry ingredients to the starter mixture. Dough will be soft but shouldn’t be sticky. Add more flour if needed
- use scoop to roll dough into a ball then roll in the sugar
- Place on cookie sheet
- Use a fork to Criss cross the cookie
- bake for 10-12 minutes
- Allow cookies to ret on the pan for 1-2 minutes then move to a cooling rack
