I adapted this from Hearts Content Farmhouse. I was looking for a healthier alternative to those lovely snack crackers the kids always love to eat. I found this recipe and played around with it! I made it the way its listed here and it was so yummy! I also added in jalapeños with a batch as well as subtracted the cheese and added chocolate powder! This recipe is so yummy and we loved it. We hope you enjoy it just like we are!

Recipe:
Ingredients:
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 cup All Purpose Flour
- 3/4 cup sourdough discard
- 3/4 cup shredded cheese- mild cheddar
- Kosher salt for sprinkling
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit and space your racks evenly apart
- Combine your butter and flour in a medium mixing bowl. Using your hands rub the butter into the flour until it looks like sand. Pour the sourdough discard in and gently mix. Add in the cheese and combine. Use your hands if needed to make sure a dough balls forms.
- Turn the dough onto a piece of parchment and place a second piece on top. Using a rolling pin roll the dough out as thin as you can make it! Cut into squares with a pastry wheel or a pizza cutter. Place onto a sheet lined with parchment and sprinkle the salt generously on top.
- Bake for 10-13 minutes. Switch the sheets half way through the bake time. Once the crackers are crispy and slightly browned on the edges take them out and let them cool on the sheets. Eat right away or store in an air tight container for up to 2 days!
