Pizza Casserole!

Pizza casserole is a great alternative to the regular spaghetti and a combo with pizza! I mean who doesn't like pizza! You can add whatever toppings into this as well! If you like veggies add veggies on top! Definitely is customizable to each person!

 

Recipe:

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups uncooked rotini or other spiral pasta
  • 1½ to 2 pounds ground beef or sausage
  • 1 medium onion, chopped Salt and black pepper (I substitute onion powder cause my family isn't a fan of onions)
  • 1 can (about 15 ounces) pizza sauce
  • 1 can (8 ounces) tomato sauce
  • 1 can (6 ounces) tomato paste
  • ½ teaspoon sugar
  • ½ teaspoon garlic salt
  • ½ teaspoon dried oregano
  • 2 cups (8 ounces) shredded mozzarella cheese or 1 package of Provolone 
  • 12-15 pieces of pepperoni 

Instructions:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. While oven is warming up cook pasta according to the box.
  • While pasta is cooking brown your ground beef or cook your sausage and then add the onion to the pan and cook. Drain fat and set off to the side!
  • Mix all your sauce ingredients (spices and tomatoe paste, sauce and pizza sauce) together in a big bowl. Add your meat and pasta and mix!
  • Put into a casserole pan and add your cheese and pepperoni (and any veggies) to the top of the pan and cook for 10-15 minutes until cheese is well melted
  • Remove and enjoy!
