Kid approved egg rolls!!!

While I am a fan of egg rolls from the Chinese restaurant, my kids… not so much….. I saw someone a while ago on social media make a post about cheeseburger egg rolls and I thought… my kids love cheeseburgers these may be a hit!! Well for months I kept forgetting to buy the egg roll wrappers so I kept putting them off until I decided it’s time to make these things!! I am so glad I did cause they were such a huge hit!! Everyone loved then except for one kid… and with 5 kids that huge having only 1 not like it! I decided then to try some pizza egg rolls and omg they were amazing too!! Even the hubby ate them and that’s saying a lot!! Below are the recipe for both the cheeseburger ones and the pizza ones! Hope you enjoy like we do!!

 

Cheeseburger Egg Rolls:

Ingredients:

  • Ground beef
  • Block of cheddar cheese ( you can do sharp or mild. We did mild.)
  • Onions and any other topping you want
  • egg roll wrappers
  • bowl of water to seal the egg roll

Instructions:

  • Brown your ground beef and onions if you want them warm at this stage. (I added the cheese here to melt it and omg it was amazing)
  • While browning your ground beef, dice up your cheese and any other toppings like pickles you want in the egg roll
  • Once your ground beef is ready to go you are ready to assemble! First put down your ground beef. Next add cheese and any other topping into the middle of the egg roll. Next fold over the one corner and pull it back similar to if you are making a Taco. Next wet the two sides that are still empty on the egg roll. Then roll it up and it should seal with the water!
  • This is where you can choose how you want to cook your egg roll. You can either fry it in oil which is the way it is normally cooked or you can do what I did and get met “ mini oven” as the kids call it out and air fry them! Cook them until golden brown and enjoy! We like to dip them in ketchup or bbq sauce!

 

 


Pizza Egg Rolls

Ingredients:

  • Egg roll wrappers
  • Pepperoni
  • String cheese ( cut them in half)
  • Pizza sauce
  • Sausage crumble or veggies if desired
  • bowl of water to seal the egg rolls

Instructions:

  • Grab an egg roll wrapper and put sauce in the middle of it!
  • If adding pepperoni add about 2-3 pepperonis on top of the sauce
  • Add your string cheese and veggies if desired
  • Fold over the corner and pull back like you would a taco. Next get the other two side wet to create the seal and roll them up.
  • Cook the egg roll by either frying it in a pan of oil or cooking them in an airy fryer until golden brown and enjoy!
