Homemade dairy free pizza!

I am a true Italian! I love my pizza and pasta!!! Pizza is my favorite food group!!!! When I went dairy free for Tommy, loosing pizza was one of the biggest blows and the biggest reason I didn’t want to go dairy free. I tried a few different dairy free cheeses before finding the one I love! I love using the target brand shredded dairy free cheese, as well as the follow my heart brand shredded or grated Parmesan cheese…. Dairy free of course! I have a dough recipe that I love using and was thankful it was dairy free so I just had to change out my cheeses! Once I did that then I was a happy camper and of course enjoy my pizzas as often as I want to! Best thing about homemade pizza besides knowing you made it and what’s in it? Is topping it off with whatever goodies you want and having the ability to put as much or as little as you want!

P.s. want a good crispy pizza? Try cooking it in a cast iron skillet!

P.s.s. You can also use this dough for Stromboli as well!


Pizza Dough Recipe

Ingredients:

  • I cup hot water
  • I tsp salt (optional )
  • 1/4 c vegetable oil
  • 1/ 4 c sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 3 tsp yeast
  • 3 1/2-4 cups of flour….. I prefer this pizza flour!

Directions:

  • Preheat oven to 425 degrees
  • Combine first 4 ingredients
  • Add yeast and let it dissolve
  • Add egg in and stir
  • Add flour by 1/2 a cup until it can be easily handled
  • To pre bake: spread dough on pans and cook til light brown. Remove from pan and let cool. Place in a bag and freeze until you want to use it.
