Homemade butter is super easy to make and so versatile! You can make something simple like plain or salted butter it get fancy and do garlic Parmesan, chive, cinnamon sugar and more! The possibilities are endless! All you need is one ingredient! Heavy whipping cream!! The easiest way I have found to make it is put the heavy whipping cream into a bowl for a mixer, cover the mixer with a towel and turn it up and let it do its thing! It will go through stages! It will look whipped like a whipped cream and you can stop there if you want some whipped cream! Let it keep going for a few more minutes and you will start to see the butter separate! Eventually you will have a bunch of butter and buttermilk! While it’s separating get a bowl of ice water ready to go! Once it’s separated strain out the buttermilk and clumped the butter together. Your gonna clean the butter off in the bowl of ice water til it’s clean! You can then store it in the fridge for a few months if washed well or up to a year in the freezer! At a local store, locally made heavy cream is about $5! For that $5 you are getting butter and buttermilk! You know how it was made and know it’s not full of crap! Go try your luck and let me know how you make out!!
